The DVD is done and shipping! Here’s an overview of the nearly 2 hours of awesome stuff you get when you order your copy.
The DVD has a pod like design. You 2.0 is a short film, to keep things moving and interesting and not waste your time. It’s designed to be something you can show to someone who knows nothing about life hacking, GTD, or any other weird terminology and they’ll finally get it. And if you already know all about that stuff, you’ll still get something out of it.
The rest of the DVD is extended interviews with both people in the film and not in the film. It’s cut down into individual pods on different topics by each speaker. And the cool thing is you can sort the pods by speaker or category.
So say you watch the film, and then you want to know more about GTD. Well you can go to David Allen’s interview and get much more in depth. Or you want to know more about the science and studies done on how we work. Gloria Mark, a professor of informatics, has you covered.

Everything you see above comes out to a total run time of about 2 hours, and sadly that’s how much you can cram onto a DVD. So with every purchase of the DVD, you’ll also get online access to even more interviews, including Danny O’Brien, new start-ups from TechCrunch50, and more podcasts.
Sound good? Cool!
I came across your blog a few weeks ago and it sparked an idea about concert hacking. Congrats on finishing the documentary and I look forward to seeing it.
-Mike
Oh yea, and I wrote a post about it on my blog. Check it out if you get a chance – http://www.mikerosania.com/2009/concert-hacking/
Is the interview with Leo Laporte not in the main movie?
Cool idea Mike, let me know how it goes.
And the Leo interview is in the main film, just not as special features. But I do plan to add that to the online area for DVD owners.
Congrats on completing the DVD! I’m definitely considering picking up a copy. It would be a no-brainer if the video were available in a downloadable format…perhaps for a few dollars cheaper.
FYI – when I clicked on the “order your copy” link in this post I got a 404 error.
Thanks for pointing the link glitch out, it should be working now.
There will definitely be an online option in the future. I just need to figure out the details and technical issues of doing it.
I would also love to see an downloadable version of the film seeing as shipping to Sweden is such a hassle.
All the best!
