What’s the true cost when using a food delivery app?

Interesting read in an article from Bloomberg about restaurants restructuring their kitchen to keep up with the increase in online orders, especially in busy office areas.

While we gain convenience and time (both important), what do we lose by not dining in the restaurant with colleagues? Face to face interactions. Hitting pause. Going for a walk. Mindful eating.

If it were possible for consumer behavior to evolve in reverse, whereby more and more folks were coming in to the restaurant for an experience and less and less were ordering delivery, we’d all be better off for it (humans, restaurant businesses—all)
