Asian Spiced Turkey Burgers
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp South Asian Spice Blend (see the recipe)
- Lettuce wrap (optional)
South Asian Spice Blend
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/ 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/ 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Make the South Asian Spice Blend. Recipe yields 4 ½ tbsp but you only need 1 for this dish. Save the rest for later or another dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine turkey and South Asian Spice Blend until well mixed.
- Form the turkey into four 4-ounce patties, adding a thumb-print dimple in the center of each one to allow for even cooking.
- Grill or skillet-cook the burgers for approximately 4 minutes per side over medium-high heat or until they are cooked through with no remaining pink (internal temperature of 165°F.)
- Serve on lettuce wrap (optional).
